Rand Water is offering an exciting opportunity for Biology graduates to join the Graduate Development Programme. The programme provides practical training, research exposure, and hands-on experience in the fields of microbiology, aquatic health, toxicology, and molecular biology. Successful candidates will contribute to specialised investigations, method development, and laboratory analysis in support of water quality management and human health.

Responsibilities

• Development of specialised investigations related to the implementation of new methods or upgrading of methods in the fields of microbiology, aquatic toxicology, molecular biology or human health
• Performance of analysis and trouble shouting related to media, test methods and instrumentation
• Documentation and checking of results on the identified databases

Qualifications

• Four years qualification (NQF 8) in Environmental Health, Aquatic Health or Microbiology with Biochemistry, Microbiology, Zoology and/or molecular biology as a major
• Experience in research projects and techniques that can be applied in the field of Microbiology, Toxicology, Aquatic Health or Molecular Biology testing
